This year, ADVVISE once again showcased its sporty and social side, as the team took part in the World Games of Mountain Biking in Saalbach from September 6 to 8, 2024, cycling for a good cause.
At the jubilee edition of the World Games of Mountain biking in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, the “Biking4Butterfly Children” (B4BC) initiative, led by Andreas Engelhardt, again fielded the largest team. With an impressive 206 participants riding for the “Butterfly Children” at the 25th World Games, B4BC represented more than a quarter of all participants overall! Alongside the impressive kilometers and elevation gains, donations were also collected: a remarkable €10,000!
With partner companies, friends, clients, and dedicated colleagues, the ADVVISE team took to various mountain biking trails. Every kilometer we covered served a special purpose: to provide a better future for the Butterfly Children. Thanks to the generous support and the collective efforts of all participants, €10,000 were donated to DEBRA Austria this year.
DEBRA Austria: Hope for the Butterfly Children
DEBRA Austria has been committed for years to improving medical care and essential research for the treatment of Epidermolysis bullosa. The skin of those affected is as delicate as butterfly wings and tends to form blisters and tears even with minimal pressure. Pain and wounds are constant companions in their daily lives. Thanks to generous donations, not only are life-changing research projects supported, but families in need also receive prompt and bureaucratic-free assistance.
A Moment of Pride and Community
As in previous years, the efforts of all involved were met with standing ovations when the donation amount was announced. The strong community behind “Biking4Butterfly Children” clearly demonstrates what can be achieved through collaboration and compassion.
Looking Forward to the Next Year
The ADVVISE team is proud to have been part of this great initiative again in 2024. We are already looking forward to next year’s participation, when we will once again take to the pedals to support the Butterfly Children in their courageous fight.
