At ADVVISE, we believe in the power of community and the impact that collective efforts can have on the lives of those in need. Recently, we had the privilege of sponsoring a charity event that truly showcased the generosity and compassion of our community. The event, held at the Pappelstadium in Mattersburg, was an overwhelming success, and we are excited to present a review and the highlights to you.
The journey of “Freunde kicken für Afrika” began in 2011 with a modest indoor soccer tournament in Mattersburg. Over the years, it has evolved into a major social event, making a substantial difference in the lives of orphaned children in Luduga, Tanzania. In 2019, the event set a new benchmark by surpassing the €50,000 fundraising milestone for the first time. This year, the tournament not only matched but exceeded that remarkable result.
With a great atmosphere, an impressive €51,385.27 was raised at the event’s tenth anniversary. This has surpassed all expectations and is not only a significant achievement for the charity, but also underlines the incredible impact of community support.
The summer tournament at the Pappelstadium maintained its cherished format, featuring main and hobby soccer tournaments, a youth tournament, a children’s dance performance, live music, and a vibrant party atmosphere. The event was a resounding success, with ticket sales, concessions, and donations contributing to a net profit of €34,085.27. Additionally, sponsorships for secondary, high school, and university education added another €17,300 to the total.
A portion of the funds will also support a local initiative in Mattersburg, financing a year of costs for school education for a local child. This demonstrates our commitment not only to global causes but also to making a positive impact in our own community.
