Within ServiceNow’s latest release Tokyo, you’ll find exciting new SPM (and APM) features and enhancements to help improve usability, effectively prioritize, and minimize risk.
The Project Workspace for example enables more intuitive project planning by creating external project task dependencies and clicking through functionality to quickly view other dependent projects’ planning.
Likewise, there are new enhancements with the Alignment Planner Workspace (APW) which is a single, actionable workspace to continuously align work to strategy and deliver your goals with confidence.
With Tokyo customers now easily can sort the backlog by rank and quickly update the backlog items inline without having to navigate to details view. Additionally, the Goal Framework, introduced with the San Diego Release, is now perfectly integrated with the Alignment Planner Workspace which provides an extensive overview of Demand, Projects, Epics, etc. and their related Strategies and Objectives.
A feature requested many times by customers is the “Export to Powerpoint” functionality where you can quickly generate custom status reports in Microsoft Powerpoint format for ease of communication and alignment.
With the improved Project Financials Overview dashboard customers gain better visibility into financial metrics by fiscal period, month, quarter and year to identify if more funding is needed.
Last but not least, Agile and SAFe dashboards now provide a consistent experience to the Agilists for both team and scaled Agile. ServiceNow continues to enhance the user experience and the dashboards are now available in a unified look and feel with the Next Experience UI.
As a conclusion one can say that ServiceNow is continuing to invest in enhancing the employee experience by making SPM and APM more intuitive and easier to adopt.
